Were I to cover My Girls myself I would hope it’s be this charming. From Taken By Trees album East of Eden , My Boys (her rendition of Animal Collective’s My Girls) was a lovely little treat to find as the second track and the whole album is just as good. ….One of my fondest memories of the insomnia that plagued my youth. I’ve always been a nostalgia-feen for 1950’s Disney.
These images are from a recent shoot for the Norwegian magazine A Dollhouse, by the young London-based photography student Saga Sig. All her works shares this same beautiful soft, intensity as do all of the images collected in her blog, THE NEVERENDING STORY!
As if eskimos, indians and shaman went for a swim in the most amazing and vibrant watercolors ever and dried themselves off on canvas, the artwork of Rachell Sumpter is akin to looking in to some kind of wonderful, ethereal kaleidoscope filled with mystical powers.
